2013-2014 Regional Short Course Championships
Hosted by the AOA + LLST + WAC

January 31st + February 1st + February 2nd
LOCATION
Windsor International Aquatic & Training Centre
401 Pitt Street West Windsor, ON N9A 0B2
FACILITY
One 71m pool divided into two 10-lane 25m pools
There is ample spectator seating, but parking may be limited + possibly pay.

-FRIDAY AFTERNOON/DISTANCE SESSION-
Warm-up~2:00-2:50pm / Start~3:00pm
-FRIDAY EVENING 13+OVER SPRINT SESSION-
Warm-up~for 45 mins following distance session/ Start~?
-SATURDAY+SUNDAY 13+OVER MORNING SESSIONS-
Warm-up~7:30-8:20am / Start~8:30am
-SATURDAY+SUNDAY 12+UNDER AFTERNOONS SESSIONS-
Warm-up~12:00-12:50pm / Start~1:00pm
-SATURDAY+SUNDAY EVENING 13+OVER FINALS-
Warm-up~5:00-5:50pm / Start~6:00pm
MEET FEES
$10.00 per relay
$7.25 per individual event
$5.00 WOSA swimmer surcharge
$20.00 coaching fee* (slight increase as this is an overnight meet)
SCRATCH DEADLINE
No scratches please!
FINALS
There will be an "A" final for girls/boys 13s + 14s + 15s
There will be an "A" + "B" final for girls/boys 16+overs with more than 30 starts. Finals will be swum in 10-lane heats but only top 8 will score!
AWARDS
Medals: 1st - 3rd for individual events; 1st only for relays.
Ribbons: 4th - 8th for individuals events; 2nd + 3rd only for relays.
SPECIAL NOTES
-ONE START rule, one false start is a DQ!
-Swimmers qualifying in one event may swim TWO bonus events; swimmers qualifying in two events may swim ONE bonus event; swimmers qualifying in three or more events receive NO bonus swims!
-Please bring a lock to store your valuables in the locker room!
-Events seeded slowest to fastest; 800m free seeded fastest to slowest!
-Shirts+hoodies commemorating the meet is available for purchase by pre-ordering only! Deadline is Jan. 4th, rsvp orders to Coach Beth ASAP!

2014 Joanne Malar Invitational
Hosted by the Hamilton Aquatic Club
HISTORY
Joanne Malar is one of the Hamilton Aquatic Club's most successful athletes. This swim meet is named in her honour. She began with the club at an early age and quickly moved up the ranks, setting national records at all ages along the way, with many of her records still standing to this day. She competed in 3 Olympic Games, making it to the finals 5 times! She has won over 70 international medals, including gold medals at the Pan American Games in 1995, 1999, 2003, the Pan Pacific Games in 1999, the Commonwealth Games in 1998. She was ranked number one in the world in 1995-1996 and 1999-2000!

There is ample spectator seating, and parking fees are applicable. The viewing area is very warm so parents please wear light clothing, pack extra water, and bring a spray fan if you have one!

-SUNDAY MORNING-
