  Congratulations   is in order for all our swimmers during the meet this weekend in Guelph!  We had  FUN !

It was a small meet, but we swam with big hearts and had lots of best times, team records broken, time standards acheived &  GREAT  efforts by all! Congratulations to our swimmers who had their first "real meet"!

 The coaches are extremely proud of everyone!

A  SPECIAL  thanks to all of our parents + siblings who braved the cold and came to cheer on our swimmers!

~The 13&Over Boys/12&U Girls afternoon sessions have each been moved to begin one hour later than previously outlined!  (Please see new start times!)
~The swim meet is really full so MSSAC asked that all teams adjust their entries to 6 swims maximum for the weekend; on Sat/Sun 3 individual events + 1 relay per day!

Greetings Parents! Is everyone excited to make our annual hike up to Mississauga? Here are the details, it's going to be a FAST weekend!  -GCAC Coaching Staff-

         FACILITY       
One eight-lane 25m pool!
There is limited off-deck spectator seating; there is ample pay parking. There will be a snack bar on site as well as an exercise facility if our parents feel like having a quick workout during warm-up!   :)


        SESSIONS       
-Session 1-
ALL - Friday Afternoon - Timed Finals
Warm-ups @ 4:00-4:55pm / Starts @ 5:00pm

-Session 2 + Session 4-
13+O Girls & 12&U Boys - Morning - Timed Finals 
Warm-ups @ 7:00-7:55am / Starts @ 8:00am / Finishes @ 12pm

-Session 3 + Session 5-                                                                                    
12&U Girls & 13+O Boys - Afternoon - Timed Finals                                 
Warm-ups @ 1:00-1:55pm / Starts @ 2:00pm / Finishes @ 6pm


         MEET FEES        
$10.00 per individual event 
$13.00 for the 800m free
$15.00 per relay/4=$3.75 each
$10.00 coaching fee per swimmer
Swimmers who participated in the Team Fundraiser this fall will have $40 towards their fees paid on their behalf by the Parent Committee!
Please submit remaining fees by Wed., December 2nd!

        SPECIAL NOTES        
-All events are Timed Finals; swim fast and make it count!
-ONE START rule, one false start is a DQ!  (Be still on the block!)
-No food, no street shoes and no puzzles on deck. Tiddly winks is okay.
-Please bring a lock to store your valuables in the locker room!
-Swimmers are limited to three individual entries+ 1 relay per day!
-Events seeded slowest to fastest; distance events seeded fastest to slowest!
-Individual medals 1st-3rd, 4th-8th will receive ribbons: GIRLS-10&U, 11s, 12s, 13s, 14s, 15&O; BOYS-11&U, 12s, 13s, 14s, 15s, 16&O
-Positive Check In: 400m Free + 800m Free (or swimmers will be scratched)
-The 800m free will be doubled-up with alternating heats of boys and girls.
-The 400m free will be doubled-up with alternating heats of boys and girls.
-Events #43/44+#56/57 (Med Relays) are cancelled due to tight session times.
-Swimmers will not be sitting on deck during this meet.  They will be off-deck in the multi-purpose room A and marshalled for their events!
