LC: HAC Spring Invitational!

Greetings Parents! LC season is finally here, yeah!!! Is everyone excited to attend our first meet to officially kick off the season? Feels like we haven't competed in ages, we're super stoked! -GCAC Coaching Staff-

    FACILITY
One 50m 6-lane pool with a scoreboard! There is ample spectator seating but parking fees are applicable. The viewing area is warm so parents might want to wear light clothing and pack extra water!

    SESSIONS
-FRIDAY AFTERNOON-
Warm-ups @ 5:00-5:55pm / Starts @ 6:00pm
-SATURDAY MORNING-
Warm-ups @ 8:30-9:20am / Starts @ 9:30am / Finishes @ 2:15pm
-SUNDAY MORNING-
Warm-ups @ 7:30-8:20am / Starts @ 8:30am / Finishes @ 1:15pm

    MEET FEES
$10.00 coaching fee
$7.00 swimmer splash fee
$10.00 per individual events
$12 per 800m/1500m free, 400m IM
Please remit fees by Fri., Mar. 31st

    SCRATCH DEADLINE
Saturday, March 18th

     AWARDS
INDIVIDUAL EVENTS: ribbons for 1st-6th places;
HIGH POINT TROPHY: for each age + gender classification
(10 & Unders, 11s, 12s, 13s, 14s, 15 & Overs)

    SPECIAL NOTES
~ONE START rule, one false start is a DQ!
~Please bring a lock to store your valuables in the locker room!
~Distance event heats will be swum fastest to slowest!
~Food is not permitted on the pool deck, please eat in the hallway!
~No Tickle-Me-Elmo's on deck under any circumstance; they've been banished since 1999 by the Build-A-Bears. Beanie Babies and Beanie Boos are permitted.

Day 7: Barcelona Training Trip!

Day 7: Barcelona Training Trip!
Welcome to Day 7 of our 2017 HAC / GCAC Barcelona Training Trip!
Today we're swam our FINAL practice :) We have mixed feelings: while we're happy to be going home & that the week of 'pain' is over, we'll be sad to leave Calella... and even more sad to return to the world of homework and 'catch up'. All of the kids here are EXCELLENT students so I'm sure they've been studying every night before bed... haha :) (No, I'm not dreaming because if I was, I wouldn't be listening to the recycling truck making it's rounds AGAIN at 12:10AM... OMG!!!)
We have the winners of the Team Challenge! The Superior Sunshine Sharks did it!; the Water Cheetahs (aka the Wet Cheetos) came in second, and the Banana Negative Splits rounded out third! Congratulations to everyone on a SPECTACULAR week!!!

Stretching aka waking up :) We were in the pool a little earlier than usual, swam over 2 hrs today!

We've REALLY appreciated the extra sleep this trip compared to AZ!

Ok, so right now literally it's 12:54am, and garbage collection is happening GRR! I hope I'm the only one who can here it LOL, our swimmers need to sleep because we have an early morning wake up :)

Nothing beats repeat 200s best average with a team challenge component to end the camp!

We cap off the day with slowest 50m, it was great! It was a close finish between Brennan, Hanna and Abby. WARNING: The following pictures are out of my hands, literally. The girls commandeered the camera, view at your own peril LOL!
