Congratulations on a great weekend Team!!! 

We opened up the season with a FANTASTIC meet in Etobicoke, facing some of the fastest teams in Ontario!  We had GREAT individual effort, AWESOME team camaraderie and an overall FUN + exciting competition!  The coaches are very proud of everyone!

Special thanks to all of our parents + siblings who came to cheer on their athletes and the team!!!

We'd also like to welcome our newest team members (some are also new COMPETITIVE swimmers) in their first competition with their GCAC teammates: Isabella!

Congratulations are also in order for those achieving WOSA, Festival & Ontario Youth-Juniors, and Ontario Swimming Championship time standards this early in the season!

One six-lane 25m pool!
There is limited spectator seating, so please arrive early to ensure you have a spot! The pool deck will be crowded, but swimmers can bring a chair if they wish! There is ample free parking and there will be a small snack bar on site!

Please help support our club by signing up to officiate!  Being on deck is the best view in the house and the host team provides refreshments and meals  :)  You can register by contacting the BAD Officials Chair at officials@burlingtondevilrays.ca!


           SPECiAL NOTES         
-All events are Timed Finals!
-ONE START rule, one false start is a DQ!
-No food, no street shoes and no euchre on deck.  Cribbage is encouraged!
-Please bring a lock to store your awesome valuables in the locker room!
-Swimmers are limited to three individual entries per session!
-Swimmers who've never swum in an event will be entered with a NT
-There will be a 20 minute warm-up after the 800m free before the 400m IM!
-The 800m free will be swum one swimmer per lane!
-Girls+Boys will be swim in combined events; times seeded slowest to fastest.
-Swimmers will be separated by age group & gender for awards.  
-The top three per age category+gender will receive medals: 10&Us, 11s, 12s, 13s, 14s, 15&Os.

Greetings Parents!  Is everyone excited for our first competition of the 2018-2019 season?  Here are the details. (Swim meets and Football, with hockey on the way... awesome!)  

MSSAC is hosting these meets a little differently, and the format suits our whole team!  One side of the bulk head will be run as the Harvest Inv., a competition with time standard requirements. The other side will be run as a separate competition, the Autumn Inv., with no time standards.

Swimmers will be placed into the appropriate meet -running simultaneously- according to their times. See you on deck!  -GCAC Coaching Staff

The Etobicoke Olympium is an 8-lane, 50m pool; it will be divided into two 25m tanks via the bulkhead. There's bleacher seating for spectators and free parking, with an additional lot adjacent to the pool. There's a snack bar on site upstairs!

The Shallow End will be run as the HARVEST INV.; 
The Deep End will be run as a separate meet, the AUTUMN INV.

Historically, MSSAC has a large enough membership to officiate their own meets :) However, if you're interested or need a sign off, please contact the meet managers. Wayne or Libby can be e-mailed at libbykalman@gmail.com; don't forget to indicate which meet you'd like to be on deck for, which session, and if you require a sign-off!
