Greetings Parents! Is everyone excited to attend our first NOVICE meet of the year? Here are the details, we're going to have a *FaNTaSTiC* time!  -GCAC Coaching Staff

December BAD Novice Developmental Swim Meet
Hosted by the Burlington Aquatic Devilrays


            ~DATES~

          ~LOCATION~          
Burlington Centennial Pool
5151 New Street
Burlington, ON  L7L 1V3


          ~FACILITY~          
One 6-lane, 25m pool!
The pool is adjacent to a high school, and there is limited parking.  There is an elementary school next door and you may park in their lot also!
There is spectator seating but if you'd like to get a good seat please arrive early! 


         ~SESSIONS~         
All - Sunday Morning***TIME CHANGE FROM THE MEET PACKAGE!!!!
Warm-ups ~ 7:30 to 8:00am / Starts ~ 8:05am
Please arrive to be on deck by 7:15am!


         ~MEET FEES~        
$10.00 coaching fee
$30.00 flat fee per swimmer
Please remit fees by Wed., Nov. 30th!


    ~SCRATCH DEADLINE~

      ~SPECIAL NOTES~       
~All events are Timed Finals!
~There's a limit of 4 individual swims per session! 
~ONE START rule, one false start is a DQ!
~Please bring a lock to store your valuables in the locker room!
~Events will be seeded slowest to fastest, mixing genders and age groups!
~Results will be separated according to gender and age category!
~Age group categories for results: 9 & Unders, 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s!
~There are awards at this meet, ribbons for 1st to 6th place!
~No food or shoes or duck-duck-goose on deck!

          FACILITY          
One 50m 6-lane pool with a scoreboard, divided into two 25m tanks!  The shallow end will be available for warm-up/warm-down during the meet!
There is ample spectator seating but parking fees are applicable. The viewing area is warm so parents might want to wear light clothing and pack extra water!

-FRIDAY AFTERNOON-                                                                                     
Warm-ups @ 5:00-5:55pm / Starts @ 6:00pm
-SATURDAY MORNING-                                                                                     
Warm-ups @ 9:00-9:55am / Starts @ 10:00am / Finishes @ 2:30pm  
-SUNDAY MORNING-                                                                                     
Warm-ups @ 8:30-9:25pm / Starts @ 9:30am / Finishes @ 2:00pm  


          MEET FEES          
$10.00 coaching fee
$7.00 swimmer splash fee
$10.00 per individual events
$12 per 800m/1500m free, 400m IM

           AWARDS            
INDIVIDUAL EVENTS: ribbons for 1st-6th places;
HIGH POINT TROPHY: for each age + gender classification
(10 & Unders, 11s, 12s, 13s, 14s, 15 & Overs)
IRONMAN PRIZE: $25 cash prize for combined scoring for the following events=400m IM + 800m free + 50m back + 100m breast



          SPECIAL NOTES

~Distance event heats will be swum fastest to slowest!
~Food is not permitted on the pool deck, please eat in the hallway!
~No Furbies on deck under any circumstance; they've been banished since 1999 by the Beanie Babies. Build-A-Bears are welcome.

What a great weekend had by all!  

We love attending Brantford meets, as we 
always face tough competition in a fast pool!

Once again, a  SPECIAL  thanks to all of our parents + siblings who came to cheer on their swimmers,
