re: Spring Registration Announcement!

Greetings to all of our Current and Prospective Swim Team Families!


We hope you're enjoying our SNOWY winter!  What a change from recent years eh!?!?  :)


 We are pleased to announce our Spring Registration:
WHEN=  Saturday, February 24th
WHAT TIME= 2:00-4:00pm
WHERE= The St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatic Center


You can find all of our UPDATED registration information and forms up on our website, in the drop down menu from the "Join GCAC" button!


 ***Returning families only need to provide the first page of the registration form!***


Registration is on a first come, first serve basis :)
Our Aqua Club programs (non-competitive) will begin the week of March 19th, the same week that school resumes after the holiday break!  

We look forward to continuing our FANTASTIC 2017-2018 swimming season!

LC: 2018 Spring LC Provincials!

Greetings Parents! Is everyone excited for our first LC provincial meet of the year? H-E-L-L-O Age Groups :) Here are the details; let's get our swimmers MOTIVATED! See you on deck, it's going to be an SPECTACULAR competition!  -GCAC Coaching Staff-

One 8-lane 50m pool divided into two 8-lane 25m pools; plus a 6 lane 25 yard warm up/warm down pool swimmers will have access to throughout the meet. 
There is spectator seating in the bleachers on the upper level; parents please arrive early to ensure a good seat. There is a snack bar on site upstairs!

$5.65 swimmer splash fee
$15.00 per individual event   
$5.00 donation for gift bags 
$20.00 per relay ($5 per swimmer)
$20.00 coaching fee (overnight meet)

A swimmer qualifying in one (1) event is eligible for two (2) bonus swims!
A swimmer qualifying in two (2) events is eligible for two (2) bonus swims!
A swimmer qualifying in three+ (3+) events is eligible for one (1) bonus swims, without exceeding the maximum of 8 individual events!



              .  ~FiNALS~                 
There will be an "A" final only for the top 8 swimmers of each event.
Age Categories: 13&U, 14s, 15s, 16s, 17&O! 
              .  ~SPECiAL NOTES~                 
~The one false start rule applies; be steady & ready! 
~Bring a lock to store your valuables in the locker room!
~All events are prelims except long distance free events
~Events will be seeded from slowest to fastest, except for distance free events!
~Please ensure your swimmer has a good night sleep prior to racing! 
~Absolutely NO Pokemon on deck; Lego is acceptable! ~Swimmers will race combined but will be separated (age categories) for finals!
~If there are too many distance swimmers, another session may be created!
~Please bring shoes/sandals to wear on deck and in the locker rooms!

re: 2018 SC WOSA Meet Results!


What a FAST meet!    WAY to go TEAM!

 We had a great team experience swimming among the best in the Western Region!  This was the FIRST WOSA with GCAC for Amanda, Ariella, Eddie, Mackenzie, Sammy G, and Torrin!  You're AWESOME!

Congratulations to ALL of our team members for their AMAZING swims!  We had lots of best times and finals, and many team records broken!   We also have one NEW Festival Qualifier: Congratulations Madison!; and two NEW Provincial Qualifiers: Congratulation Matthew + Micah! 

The coaches are extremely HaPPY and THRiLLED with everyone's efforts :)  What an EXCiTiNG and FuN year so far :)
