The Garden City Aquatic Club is pleased to announce the recent success of another swimmer from our high performance group!
Kayla Andrews (13) was recently selected to compete in the 2014 North American Indigenous Games in Regina, Saskatchewan!
This event showcased unity, sport, culture, youth, volunteerism and teamwork between First Nations, Metis and Non-Indigenous communities from Canada and the United States. The theme of the Regina 2014 North American Indigenous Games is “Raising the Bar”. With years of preparation, dedication and sacrifice, the games were a fantastic way to recognize the healthy lifestyle choices young Indigenous people & future leaders from North America have made.
