SC: 2017 Alex Baumann Invitational!***UPDATED!

Greetings Parents!  Is everyone excited for an adventure?  We're heading back to Markham's amazing PAN AM pool with our first meet with finals!!! Here are the details, it's bound to be a BLAST!  -GCAC Coaching Staff-


            MEET            
2017 Alex Baumann Invitational
Hosted by the Mallards Swim Team!


            DATES            
November 25th + 26th!


            LOCATION            
Markham PAN AM Centre
16 Main Street
Unionville, ON L3R 2E5


            FACILITY            
One ten-lane 50m tank divided into two 25m pools! 
The meet will run double-ended!
There is plenty of spectator seating; there is limited parking with an overflow lot in the field adjacent to the pool.  There is a snack bar in the lobby but you might want to pack lots of extra food and drinks! :)


            SESSIONS            
~Session 2~
13+Overs - Saturday Morning - Prelims + Timed Finals
Warm-ups @ 7:00-7:50am / Starts @ 8:00am / Finishes @ 11:30am

~Session 3~
12&Unders - Saturday Afternoon - Timed Finals                                
Warm-ups @ 12:00-12:40pm / Starts @ 12:50pm / Finishes @ 3:50pm

~Session 4~
13+Overs - Saturday Late Afternoon - Finals                                 
Warm-ups @ 4:30-5:20pm / Starts @ 5:30pm / Finishes @ 7:00pm

~Session 5~
12&Unders - Sunday Morning - Timed Finals
Warm-ups @  7:30-8:10am / Starts @ 8:20am / Finishes @ 11:50am 

~Session 6~
13+Overs - Sunday AfternoonTimed Finals                                 
Warm-ups @ 12:15-1:05pm / Starts @ 1:15pm / Finishes @ 4:45pm


            MEET FEES            
$11.50 per individual event
$13.00 for the 400m free & 400m IM
$16.00 per relay team ($4.00 per swimmer)

$20.00 coaching fee***overnight meet 
Please submit meet fees by Wed., Nov. 22nd!


            SCRATCH DEADLINE            
Sunday, October 15th!


            OFFICIATING            
The meet is in need of officials! Please help support your swimmers and our club by volunteering! Please contact our COC Mr. Jeff Clemmensen or e-mail the Mallards Officials Chair directly at officialschair@mallardsswimming.com!  Remember to let the referee know if you need a sign-off at the beginning of the session!


            SPECIAL NOTES            
~Please bring a lock to store your valuables in the locker rooom! 
~Select 13&Over 50m+100m races are prelims/finals for the top ten swimmers! 
~One START RULE; one false start is a DQ! (Be still on the block!)
~No food, no street shoes & NO Minecraft on deck.  Guess Who is permitted!
~Swimmers, please bring a chair so you don't get Coach Beth's chair wet again.
~Deck entries times will count as official times, however will be considered "exhibition" for scoring purposes and won't be eligible to win any awards!
~Swimmers, please pack WARM deck clothes to wear between swims!
~Events seeded slowest to fastest; distance events seeded fastest to slowest!
~Positive Check-In required for the 400m IM + 400m free!
~If your swimmer makes finals but cannot swim, they must scratch 30 minutes after their event results are posted or else they will be required to pay a penalty.
~Age groups will swim combined but will be separated in the results.
~Individual medals for 1st-3rd, 4th-10th will receive ribbons for 10&U, 11+12s, 13+14s, and 15&O age categories.
